Asymmetric Effect of Electricity Consumption on Economic Growth: Evidence from NARDL and Toda-Yamamoto Methods

چکیده
Çalışma, elektrik tüketiminin ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki asimetrik etkisini değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye ekonomisinin 2005-2020 dönemi verileri çalışma kapsamına dahil edilmiştir. Ekonometrik analizde, çeyreklik veriler yardımıyla iki farklı yöntem uygulanmıştır. Analizin tahmin gücünü arttırmak amacıyla sanayi üretim endeksinin bağımsız değişken olarak kullanıldığı ve büyümenin bağımlı olduğu modellerde etkisi NARDL modeliyle, nedensellik ilişkisi Toda-Yamamoto testiyle yansıtılmıştır. modeli bulgularına göre, ampirik uygulamanın değişkenleri arasında uzun dönemde eşbütünleşme vardır analiz sonuçları eşbütünleşmenin varlığını doğrulamaktadır. Diğer taraftan, tüketimindeki pozitif negatif değişimlerin kısa dönemdeki etkisine bakıldığında; büyümeyi arttırdığı, ise azalttığı görülmüştür. testinde tüketiminden büyümeye doğru çıkması, modelindeki sonucu destekler niteliktedir.
